Its finally out ! The new book by Surya Deo compiles all Odia Movie Songs from 1936 to 1969 covering 33 Movies. With non-availability of a number of Movies, the lyrics have been sourced from song booklets, 78 RPM shellacs and other reference materials. The highlight of the book is profile of the lyricist of these timeless songs which included legends as Manoj Das, Mayadhar Mansingh, Krushna Prasad Basu, Godavarish Mohapatra and many others. Indexing of the songs basing on its opening line is another highlight of the book. We look forward to Surya Deo's next project on Odia Movie Posters. The book is available online as well as local bookshops. The book is published by ''Srujan''.
E sajani gata madhu sanja from Nari not mentioned. Puaratani songs listed separately. No reference to dubbed movies like Bhagya
Sadly, the book doesn't give a complete and accurate picture of the period covered. Nagapuja & Mahishasura badha too are dubbed
